Amazing Food Detectivedetective1

Kids! Be a part of solving a mystery.
LiveWell Weld County is partnering with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program (ETP) to bring The Amazing Food Detective play to Weld County this fall. The production is interactive and educational theatre designed to teach kindergarten through fifth-grade students about making better choices relative to nutrition and physical activity.

VERB Physical Activity Mini-Grant

Tweens need a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity every day. You can help make that happen! LiveWell Weld County will award mini-grants to support organizations that implement one or more physical activities for tweens (ages 9 to13) in Weld County during the summer of 2009.

FFaR Program - Fun, Fitness and Recreation

FFaR, or Fun, Fitness, and Recreation, is an after school physical activity program that encourages kids in middle and high school to stay "FFaR away from the screen" after school. The program partners with local schools and recreation centers to promote at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day for kids and discourages long hours in front of the TV, computer or video games after school.
